Google has started teasing the arrival of its new Nest Cam lineup alongside Gemini updates for Google Home. The company first hinted at Gemini integration during the Pixel 10 launch event, and is now teasing the official arrival date.

The brand took to its official X handle to tease the arrival of the new Nest Cam and Gemini updates for Google Homes. The teaser video says, 'Come back October 1st', confirming that 'Gemini is coming to Google Home.'

While Google hasn't shared feature details yet, reports from Android Headlines reveal the upcoming Nest lineup, which includes a new Google Home Speaker, Nest Indoor Cam, Nest Outdoor Cam, and a refreshed Nest Doorbell.

Upcoming Features of Google Home Speaker (Expected)

The forthcoming Google Home Speaker will be powered by Gemini, featuring Live and Learn with Gemini. It will also include Sound Sensing technology to detect when you're away and listen for sounds like glass breaking or smoke alarms. The speaker might offer 360-degree sound with balanced audio quality. Additionally, it can be paired with a Google TV Streamer for enhanced functionality.

Nest Cam Indoor Enhancements

The third-generation Nest Cam Indoor is expected to come in multiple colours: Snow, Berry, and Hazel. This model will come with Gemini and feature an upgraded resolution of 2K HDR, allowing users to zoom and crop images for better monitoring. The Zoom and Crop feature enables focusing on specific areas like a baby crib with up to 6x digital zoom.

Moreover, video previews are being extended to cover the past three hours. Users can view 10-second clips of events missed during this period. The camera can store up to an hour of video locally if WiFi connectivity fails.

Additional Features and Subscription Changes

Google is retaining popular features such as Activity Zones, Garage Door Alerts, Familiar Face Alerts, and introducing intelligent alerts for detecting people, vehicles, or animals. The paid subscription service previously known as Nest Aware will now be called 'Google Home Premium'. Another plan named 'Google Home Premium Advanced' will also be available; however, pricing details remain undisclosed.

In addition to these updates, Google plans to launch the second-generation Nest Cam Outdoor and a third-generation wired Nest Doorbell soon.

These developments reflect Google's ongoing commitment to enhancing smart home technology through innovative features and improved user experiences.
