LaCie's latest hard drives comes with USB-C, Porsche Design and aluminium casing

A new trend is to see USB-C port on several new gadgets and machines. In order to complement this LaCie has designed hard drives compatible with USB- C. LaCIe has designed a Porsche Design hard drives for both Desktop and Mobile. The storage units have Aluminium encasing. The LaCie storage units offers USB Type-C connections to your laptop and desktop.

It also allows you to charge your laptop even as you are transferring files as far as the drive is plugged in. It is also equipped with USB 3.0 adapter with the hard drives. The Porsche Design Mobile Drive will be available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB models starting at $110 and the Desktop Drive will be offered in 4TB, 5TB and 8TB options from $210.

LaCie has also partnered with an artist and industrial designer Neil Poulton on Chrome. The Chrome is a 1TB hard drive features a polished chrome finish. Neil Poulton takes inspiration from an early 20th century design bronze statue for the design of the Chrome'. The Chrome finish makes the 1TB hard drive even better.

The LaCie Porsche Design Desktop Drive also offers USB-C connectivity packs in dual 500GB SSDs in RAID and is equipped with extremely high-speed data transfer.
