Meta Ray-Ban Glasses With Live Translation Feature Launching Soon in India: Check All the Details

Meta has confirmed that its Ray-Ban smart glasses, created in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, will soon launch in India. These glasses were first introduced in September 2023. Along with India, they'll also be available in Mexico and the UAE.

While the exact launch date is yet to be announced, Meta says these AI-powered smart glasses let users do a lot without needing to pull out their phones. You can ask questions, get real-time answers, ask for suggestions, or even get help with creative writing just by using your voice.

You can use them to take photos, listen to music, or record videos while keeping your phone in your pocket. Meta is also adding new style options for their Skyler frames, including Shiny Chalky Gray with Transitions Sapphire lenses, which is a cat-eye shape with a fun pop of color, Shiny Black with G15 Green lenses, and Shiny Black with Clear lenses.

A new software update is also being released for all regions. One big upgrade is the live translation feature, which was previously available in limited countries. Now, it's rolling out to everyone. You can have real-time conversations in different languages- English, French, Italian, and Spanish-even without an internet connection if you've downloaded the language pack ahead of time. Just say, "Hey Meta, start live translation."

Moreover, it's also expanding access to music apps, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Shazam, beyond the US and Canada. You'll also be able to send and receive messages, share photos, and make audio and video calls on Instagram soon.
