Micromax to launch next flagship smartphone with 4G LTE and 3GB RAM on November 4
Micromax is all set to announce its new flagship smartphone at an event which will be held on November 4. The company has started rolling event invite in which it teases the launch of a new Canvas smartphone for November 4. GizBot has gathered from its sources that this will be the company's next flagship Canvas smartphone that will pack in impressive specs and be priced competitively under Rs 15,000.
Micromax's teaser for this upcoming Canvas smartphone suggests that this phone will boast of ‘Pride, performance and power.' We have been informed that the phone will don an interesting design which will make it look premium for its price. This unannounced Micromax smartphone will be powered by an octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. As for other specs, this smartphone is likely to flaunt a 1080p display, feature a 13MP rear snapper, and run Android Lollipop OS.
Back in September, Vineet Taneja, MD Micromax, had revealed that the company already had four 4G smartphone and would be adding 8 more 4G smartphones to its portfolio by the end of December. Since then the company has added 6 devices in less than three months. These devices include the Canvas Knight 2, Canvas Sliver 5, Canvas Nitro 4G, Canvas Fire 4G, Canvas Blaze 4G and Canvas Play 4G. The upcoming smartphone will also be 4G compatible, and support dual-SIM.
Considering that this phone will be the company's premium flagship smartphone to be priced under Rs 15,000, the phone will be competing against the newly released OnePlus X smartphone. The OnePlus X brings 1080p AMOLED display, Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM, 13MP camera and more, and is priced at Rs 16,999.
