Motorola’s New Moto Watch Is Coming to India on January 23: Check Confirmed Specs and Features
Motorola is adding a new smartwatch to its lineup in India. The Moto Watch will launch on January 23, alongside the Motorola Signature smartphone.

The company already gave us a first look at the watch earlier this month at CES 2026, and now the India rollout is locked in.
A Familiar Round Design With Practical Choices
The Moto Watch sticks to a classic smartwatch look. It has a 1.43-inch OLED display housed in a 47mm aluminum case, paired with a stainless steel crown on the side for navigation. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, which is still a common choice in this category.
Motorola is offering flexibility with bands too. Buyers can choose between silicone, leather, or stainless steel options, depending on whether they want something sport-focused or more formal. The watch is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and also carries a 1 ATM rating, making it suitable for splashes and shallow water use.
Fitness Tracking Backed by Polar
One of the more interesting parts of the Moto Watch is Motorola’s partnership with Polar. Instead of just focusing on raw activity numbers, the watch leans into recovery and workout balance.
It tracks the usual health metrics like steps, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress, and sleep. On top of that, Polar-powered features such as Smart Calories, Nightly Recharge, and Activity Score aim to give context to your activity, not just totals. You also get hydration reminders, medication alerts, and custom goal setting.
GPS, Calls, and Motorola’s AI Layer
The Moto Watch comes with dual-frequency GPS, which should help with more accurate location tracking during outdoor workouts. It also includes a built-in speaker and microphone, letting you take phone calls directly from the watch.
Notifications and summaries are handled by Motorola’s moto ai. This includes a “Catch me up” feature on supported phones, which bundles missed notifications into a single overview. The watch runs on Motorola’s own software rather than Wear OS, and it requires an Android phone running Android 12 or later.
Battery Life Focused on Longevity
Battery life is one area where Motorola is clearly making a pitch. The Moto Watch is rated for up to 13 days of use under normal conditions. With the always-on display enabled, that figure drops to around seven days, which is still competitive for a smartwatch with an OLED panel.
Charging is quick as well. Motorola says a five-minute top-up is enough to get through a full day.
Availability in India
The Moto Watch will be available in Matte Black and Matte Silver. After the India launch on January 23, it will go on sale via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and offline retail stores.
