PhonePe Second Gen SmartSpeaker Launched To Enhance Merchant Operations In India: Here's What it Can Do!

PhonePe has unveiled its latest SmartSpeaker, a device crafted in India to meet the changing demands of merchants. This new version enhances the original model by improving connectivity and efficiency while retaining its core features. The SmartSpeaker was initially launched in 2022 to offer offline merchants voice-based payment notifications.

The device supports 21 languages and includes a celebrity voice feature with prominent Indian actors. It provides real-time audio alerts for successful payments, allowing merchants to focus on their business without needing to check SMS or app notifications.

Enhanced Connectivity and Features

The second-generation SmartSpeaker maintains all the original features but introduces several enhancements. It now uses a 4G network, ensuring faster and more reliable connectivity. The device charges fully in approximately 75 minutes and boasts a standby battery life exceeding seven days, or over 160 hours.

Additional features include a Type-C connector and a built-in slot for a QR stand. The speaker is designed to deliver clear audio even in noisy environments and has a compact design suitable for crowded counter spaces.

Merchants interested in acquiring the SmartSpeaker can download the PhonePe Business app from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Indus App Store. This accessibility ensures that merchants can easily integrate this technology into their operations.
