Razer Launches New Gaming Headset Priced at Rs 26,900: Top Specs and Features

Razer has launched a new wireless gaming headset in India, aimed at gamers who want to use the same device for PC gaming, mobile entertainment and everyday listening. Called the Razer Barracuda V2 Pro, the headset combines wireless connectivity, active noise cancellation and a dual-microphone system. It also promises up to 70 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Priced at Rs 26,900, the Barracuda V2 Pro features 40mm TriForce Bio-Cellulose drivers and supports THX Spatial Audio+ on PC. Razer says the headset is designed to switch between gaming setups and mobile use without requiring users to change devices.

The Razer Barracuda V2 Pro is priced at Rs 26,900. Its key features include Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth connectivity, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and AI-powered microphone noise cancellation.

The headset supports simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth audio, allowing users to listen to game audio while staying connected to calls, messages or music on another device. A dedicated Razer SmartSwitch button lets users switch between the two wireless connections.

Razer HyperSpeed Wireless is designed to deliver low-latency audio for gaming across compatible PC, mobile, console and handheld devices. However, the company has not detailed the full compatibility requirements for every platform in the announcement.

For audio, the Barracuda V2 Pro uses 40mm TriForce Bio-Cellulose drivers. When connected to a PC, it also supports THX Spatial Audio+ with 7.1.4 virtual surround sound. The setup includes four overhead virtual audio channels, which are designed to help players identify sounds around and above them in supported content.

The headset also features Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, which uses external and internal-facing microphones to reduce surrounding noise. This could be useful when gaming in noisy environments or listening to music while travelling.

The Barracuda V2 Pro has a dual-microphone system designed for gaming and everyday use. It includes a detachable boom microphone for voice chat during gaming sessions, while built-in beamforming microphones take over when users want to use the headset without the boom mic.

Razer says AI-powered microphone noise cancellation works with both microphone configurations to reduce background noise during calls and in-game communication.

The headset weighs 285g and features a foldable, lay-flat design intended to make it easier to carry. It also has plush ear cushions, a padded headband and built-in storage for its wireless dongle.

Battery life is another key feature, with Razer claiming up to 70 hours of use on a single charge. Actual battery life may vary depending on usage, connectivity and features such as active noise cancellation.
