Samsung Infinite One-Way Cassette AC with Ambient Lighting Launched in India
Samsung has introduced the Infinite One-Way Cassette AC in India, aiming at premium homes, offices, hotels and retail spaces where cooling hardware must fit into the ceiling design. The new model combines WindFree air distribution, built-in Wi-Fi, SmartThings controls and ambient lighting, making it closer to an interior feature than a standard cassette air conditioner.
The product is available in VRF and Commercial Split versions through Samsung’s commercial air-conditioning channel partners in India. Prices start at Rs 16 lakh, inclusive of GST. Samsung has not listed separate retail prices for each capacity, which means final costs may vary depending on configuration, installation needs and project scale.

Samsung Infinite One-Way Cassette AC: Variants and Design
The VRF version of the Samsung Infinite One-Way Cassette AC is offered in 2.8kW, 3.6kW, 5.6kW and 7.1kW capacities. The Commercial Split version comes in 3.5kW, 5.2kW and 7.1kW options. This range allows installers to choose the system according to room size, cooling load and building layout.
Samsung has kept the indoor unit 13.8cm deep, which should help in spaces with modern false ceilings. Actual installation will still depend on ceiling height, service access, refrigerant piping and the chosen outdoor system. The exterior uses Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate, a material Samsung says is designed to resist UV exposure and maintain its finish over time.
The most visible addition is Ambient Edge Lighting. The unit offers nine lighting modes inspired by the human circadian rhythm. Users get Warm, Natural and Cool lighting options, along with High and Low intensity settings. A Smart Lighting Intensity mode can also adjust brightness according to the surrounding environment.
WindFree Cooling and Smart Controls
Samsung’s Wide WindFree Cooling is the main comfort feature on the Infinite One-Way Cassette AC. The panel uses around 17,000 micro-holes to spread cool air across the room instead of pushing a strong direct draft. This approach may be useful in bedrooms, cabins, meeting rooms and lounges where people sit in one place for long periods.
The company says the system is designed to reduce operating noise and improve energy efficiency, though it has not shared comparative noise or power-consumption figures for this launch. For buyers, those details will matter when comparing it with other cassette AC systems for large homes or commercial interiors.
The AC has built-in Wi-Fi, so it can connect directly to the Samsung SmartThings app without an extra connectivity module. Users can monitor and control the unit remotely, change cooling settings and use features such as Energy Monitoring and Usage Pattern tracking. Voice control support is also included through compatible ecosystems.
Samsung has added AI Comfort Mode, which is meant to adjust cooling based on usage behaviour. Other connected features include Welcome Cooling, Personalised Cooling and Pet Care. The AC also comes with an Intertek-certified Copper Anti-Bacterial Filter. Samsung claims the filter can capture airborne particles and reduce certain harmful bacteria by up to 99%.
