Samsung Launches 2026 Bespoke AI Appliances in India to Transform Your Home Into a Genius Assistant

Samsung India has expanded its connected home play with the 2026 Bespoke AI appliances lineup, bringing AI features to refrigerators, air conditioners and laundry products. The launch, showcased at The Brief Gurugram, underlines Samsung’s attempt to make SmartThings the control layer for premium Indian homes, rather than treating each appliance as a separate smart device.

The new range includes the Family Hub Refrigerator with AI Vision built with Google Gemini, the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner, and the Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC with WindFree. Samsung says the appliances can learn usage patterns, automate common tasks and help reduce energy consumption through SmartThings, its connected home platform.

Samsung Bespoke AI Lineup Focuses on Connected Home Use

The Family Hub Refrigerator is the most visible AI-led product in the lineup. It comes with a 32-inch screen that can be used for recipes, notes, schedules, family updates and entertainment. Samsung has added contextual AI experiences such as Search for Video Recipes, along with localised features called Family Care and Pet Care.

AI Vision and AI Food Manager allow the refrigerator to recognise food items, suggest recipes and help manage use-by dates. Samsung is also linking meal planning with SmartThings and Samsung Health, which could help users plan meals with calorie awareness. The Now Brief feature brings personalised updates, including schedules, weather and family-related alerts.

The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner brings AI-enabled controls and PM1.0 purification. It supports climate management through SmartThings and Home Appliance Remote Management. Samsung is also pitching sleep-focused cooling through features that can work with Galaxy Wearables to adjust settings based on individual sleep patterns.

The Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC with WindFree is aimed at users who want concealed or ceiling-mounted cooling. It uses 23,000 micro-holes for draft-free cooling and supports AI Energy Mode, which Samsung says can reduce energy use by up to 30%. The model is available in 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.1 kW cooling capacities.

AI Home, Bixby and SmartThings form the Software Layer

Samsung is using the AI Home screen, Bixby, Knox security and SmartThings across select products in the 2026 Bespoke AI ecosystem. The AI Home screen acts as a control point for appliance settings, insights, entertainment and family communication. This approach reflects a broader industry shift towards software-defined appliances with longer update cycles.

The upgraded Bixby assistant supports voice commands and Voice ID, allowing appliances to recognise individual users and personalise responses. SmartThings Family Care can send alerts when unusual situations are detected, such as inactivity at a scheduled time. Pet Care in the SmartThings app offers activity tracking, breed-based health insights and reminders for walks or care routines.

Security is another part of Samsung’s pitch. The company says its enhanced Knox Security provides multi-layered protection across connected devices. It is also offering seven years of software updates through SmartThings, which is significant for appliances expected to stay in homes longer than smartphones or laptops.

Samsung has organised the range around four themes: AI Understands You, AI Adapts to You, AI Connects Your Home and AI Cares for You. These cover food recognition, energy management, connected monitoring, personalisation and appliance maintenance. The company is also extending AI features to laundry, including AI Wash and Dry, which adjusts cycles based on fabric types.

JB Park, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia, said the 2026 Bespoke AI range is designed to become an “AI Home Companion” for different lifestyles. He added that Samsung wants to create an AI Home where technology adapts to users, while bringing AI Vision, Knox and inclusive design into everyday appliances.

The launch shows how appliance makers are moving beyond basic app controls towards integrated home ecosystems. For buyers, the key question will be whether AI features, software updates and connected services justify the premium over conventional appliances. Samsung’s latest range clearly targets households ready to treat home appliances as long-term connected devices.
