Swipe Elite 2 smartphone with 4G LTE, 5MP Selfie camera launched for Rs 4,999
Domestic smartphone and tablet company, Swipe today took the wraps off its new budget smartphone dubbed as Elite 2. Swipe Elite 2 is a toned down, second gen model of the Swipe Elite smartphone that was launched at Rs 5,999. Swipe has announced the Elite 2 smartphone in partnership with Flipkart for selling it exclusively via the latter's online shopping portal. This budget smartphone will be made available from November 8, for a price of Rs 4,999.
Speaking of its features and specifications, the Swipe Elite 2 dons a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 64-bit processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone offers good storage space at 8GB of internal storage that can be expandable to 32GB via a microSD card. On the camera front, it sports an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, and a 5MP front facing snapper for selfie lovers.
As far as other features are concerned, the phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Swipe's native UI, and houses a 1900mAh battery with Quick charge capabilities. As per the company's claims, the quick charge mode can charge the battery to full within 1.5 hours.
Connectivity options in the phone include of support for dual-SIM, 4G, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.
At this price, the Swipe Elite 2 will be up against the likes of Yu Yureka which packs in better features and specs for an Android smartphone under Rs 5,000, and Honor Bee which brings similar features on board and is available for Rs 4,499.
