IFA 2013: Nikon Announced COOLPIX P7800 Digital Camera and LD-1000 LED Movie Light
Following multiple announcements taking place at IFA 2013, digital camera major Nikon has also unveiled its two latest devices viz. Coolpix P7800 and LD-1000 LED Movie Light.
Nikon has been one of the top players when it comes to digital SLRs and point and shoot digital and compact cameras. The recently announced Coolpix P7800 can also be looked upon as the latest addition to Nikon's advanced performance Coolpix lineup. It offers Nikon's optical excellence and versatile high-performance features in a portable, compact body. On the other hand, the new LD-1000 LED Movie Light is an optional lighting accessory for Nikon 1 and Coolpix cameras which comes in a compact and lightweight design.
Coolpix P7800
Going into the details of Coolpix P7800, it is equipped with both automatic and advanced features. It comes packed with a 12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and comes with a maximum aperture f/2.0 lens along with a new electronic viewfinder. The latest camera is also capable of shooting HD video even in difficult low-light scenes.
Moving further, Coolpix P7800 sports a large 1/1.7-inch, 12.2-megapixel backside-illuminated CMOS sensor and a versatile 7.1x zoom range (28-200mm equivalent). Additionally, lens-shift Vibration Reduction (VR) in the lens helps create steady and clear shots and features fast continuous shooting mode rating 8 frames-per-second (fps) for up to six shots.
The camera has a high-resolution 3-inch Vari-Angle LCD screen and when using the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter, users can easily shoot and share via Wi-Fi to compatible smartphones or tablets.
According to the press release, Nikon Coolpix P7800 will be available in September 2013 for a suggested retail price of $549.95 (approx. Rs. 36,390).
Nikon LD-1000 LED
The new LD-1000 LED Movie Light is an optional lighting accessory for Nikon 1 and Coolpix cameras. It is compact and lightweight device which features a built-in diffusion panel. Making it more handy, users can also remove the bracket from the movie light and hold it in the hand for free control over the angle of lighting. The Nikon LD-1000 LED Movie Light will come in Black and White color variant and will be available in October 2013 for a suggested retail price of $99.95 approx. Rs. 6,614).
