Poco Pad X1 and Pad M1 Launched With Bigger Displays and Snapdragon 7 Series Chips

Poco has refreshed its tablet range with not one, but two new models. The Poco Pad X1 and Poco Pad M1 arrive as successors to the original Poco Pad, and they don’t try to do the same job. Instead, Poco seems to be addressing two very different kinds of users. One tablet puts sharper visuals and a slimmer body front and centre, while the other focuses on screen size and long battery life.

If you’ve been casually waiting for a budget-friendly Android tablet that doesn’t feel like a compromise in every area, these two additions are worth a closer look.

Poco Pad X1 Goes For A Sharper, More Compact Experience

The Poco Pad X1 comes with an 11.2-inch display and a resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels, which gives it a noticeably higher pixel density than most tablets in the same price range. It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 800 nits, making it better suited for smoother scrolling and clearer text.

Inside, it runs on the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options going up to 512GB. Poco has equipped it with an 8,850mAh battery, which should cover a full day of mixed use without much anxiety. Stylus support is also present for anyone who plans to use it for notes or light creative work.

In terms of design, the Pad X1 keeps things minimal. It has an aluminium body, measures just 6.18mm in thickness, and weighs about 500 grams, which makes it relatively easy to hold for longer sessions. Audio comes through a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, and connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC tap-to-share. What you won’t find here is cellular connectivity, so it’s strictly a Wi-Fi-first device.

The Poco Pad X1 is priced at $399, with early offers dropping it to $349. Keyboard and stylus accessories are sold separately.

Poco Pad M1 Prioritises Size And Battery Endurance

The Poco Pad M1 takes the opposite route. It features a larger 12.1-inch display, but at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. That results in a softer pixel density compared to the X1, but the bigger panel may appeal more to users who treat their tablet as a media or work companion.

This one runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Its biggest talking point is the 12,000mAh battery, which Poco claims can last for extremely long standby periods. It also includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack, something that’s slowly disappearing from modern tablets.

The trade-off is portability. At 612 grams and 7.5mm thickness, the M1 is clearly built for desk or sofa use rather than frequent handheld reading.

The Pad M1 starts at $329, making it the more affordable of the two.

Same Software Base, Different Use Cases

Both tablets run Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS layered on top. So the interface and overall experience should feel quite similar. The real difference lies in how you intend to use your tablet. The Pad X1 feels better suited for users who want clarity, smoothness, and a lighter form factor. The Pad M1 seems more geared toward people who prioritise screen size and battery longevity.

Poco hasn’t confirmed every market where these tablets will land yet, but a broader global rollout is expected.
