NUUK REN GO Handheld Vacuum Cleaner Review: A Perfect Blend of Performance, Form, Functionality

A handheld vacuum can be a game-changer for quick, hassle-free cleaning. Whether it's a tuft of cat hair on the carpet or dust that collects overtime, these compact appliances are perfect for tackling small messes swiftly-without the effort of a full-scale cleanup.

NUUK recently sent us the REN GO, its powerful handheld cordless vacuum cleaner, which costs Rs 3,349 in India. The REN GO comes with an impressive suction power of up to 11KPa and seven attachments for the optimum cleaning experience. I've been using the NUUK REN GO for nearly a month now, and here are my thoughts.

What's in the box?

Inside the box is the vacuum cleaner itself along with a USB Type-A to Type-C cable for charging. Moreover, the handheld vacuum cleaner also comes with 7 attachments, including two connectors, three air blower nozzles, and two vacuum nozzles. You can also get extra HEPA filters separately, which will set you back Rs 299 for a pack of two. Lastly, NUUK also provides a compact bag to carry the vacuum while travelling.

Design

The vacuum itself features a minimalist design, arriving in Tactile Black and Tundra Green shades, my model arrived in the former. The black variant boasts a soft matte finish. Despite the plastic build, the soft rubberized texture and minimalist design, give the REN GO a premium look and feel.

The lightweight, 635 grams, build and soft material coupled with the large handle on the back make the REN GO extremely comfortable to use. The handheld vacuum cleaner also has a cover that helps it stand on a desk. There's a red button to power the vacuum and LED battery indicators that sit on the top along with the NUUK logo.

It's worth noting that the QR code on the back can be scanned to avail the warranty (2 Years). Finally, the charging port of the REN GO is on the back. Additionally, you can also use the air blower attachments by fixing it to the charging port, allowing you to use the vacuum for air dusting or inflation.

Performance

The REN GO has an Eco and Turbo mode, the former offering 8kPa, while the latter delivered 11kPa of suction power. You can toggle between the two modes by pressing the red button on the top. The vacuum has a powerful BLDC motor that isn't annoyingly loud but how does it perform?

The overall suction power was excellent, allowing me to scoop up dust, food particles, and even large pieces of tissue. It even pulled in a couple of coins that were wedged into the corners of the sofa. The extension pipe is excellent for cleaning up debris in places that are difficult to reach, while the crevice tool cleans up dirt in the hard-to-reach sofa corners.

The brush attachment also helped scooping up dust particles and other dirt over my keyboard and inside my PC cabinet. The REN GO also does an excellent job dusting air from surfaces and objects. I was also able to inflate a ballon and a pool ball using the blower nozzle. You can also attach the nozzle to the front of the vacuum to deflate objects. Finally, it comes with an anti-spill dust shield to ensure no trash spills out if the transparent bin.

Battery

The REN GO handheld vacuum cleaner by NUUK offers around 20 minutes of battery life on a full charge thanks to its 4,400 mAh cell. I found 20 minutes more than sufficient for quickly cleaning my room, while the handheld vacuum cleaner also offers Quick Charge convenience, offering a full charge in three hours through the USB Type-C port.

Verdict

The NUUK REN GO handheld vacuum cleaner did an admirable job of handling most messes, scooping up all manner of dirt and debris, while easily tackling larger food items like popcorn, broken off chip pieces, and tissues with ease. It's also quite powerful for a compact handheld vacuum cleaner. Additionally, it offers a ton of functionality with four different use cases.

Finally, its minimalist yet practical design makes it aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to use. If you are looking for a compact yet powerful handheld vacuum cleaner for a room or a car, the NUUK REN GO is definitely worth considering. It is on the slightly expensive side for a handheld vacuum cleaner, although its performance, form, and functionality make it worth the price.
