Last month, Samsung unveiled its most ambitious smartwatch, the Gear S, a Tizen-powered intelligent watch capable to make calls on its own without any dependency on a companion smartphone.

Back then, Samsung had announced that the watch would get HERE maps compatibility. But now the company has added yet another interesting feature - web browsing. Yes, you heard it right.

Samsung Gear S To Get Opera Mini Browser

Well browsing the web on such a small screen doesn't seem a good idea, but Opera says it has worked to make its browser play nice on the Gear S. For example, the website shortcuts on Opera Mini's Speed Dial appear as large buttons, enabling Gear S users to reach their favorite sites in a single tap.

Moreover, users can easily navigate the web on your Samsung Gear S. To zoom, double-tap with a finger, or, to get a more precise view, just pinch to zoom. A gentle swipe with your finger will take you forward and back. Interestingly, one can easily save webpages for offline reading, too.

Samsung Gear S owners are able to download Opera Mini from the Samsung Gear App store. The Samsung Gear S will run Opera Mini version 7.5, when it goes on sale this month.
