Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition: Performance and Features
During our time spent using the Gear VR, we got to experience a bit of sample content designed to work on the virtual reality headset. Basically, the Samsung Gear VR appears to focus on wholesome entertainment rather than just games. That's what makes the Gear VR different from Sony's Sony Morpheus.
Most observers agree that right content is needed for virtual reality to take off. Oculus, for instance, has provided apt software content that rill run on the Galaxy Note 4. The segregation of software is divided into following options: Oculus Home, Oculus Cinema, Oculus Store and Oculus 360 Videos and Photos.
According to Samsung, the Note 4's Quad HD screen and powerful Snapdragon 805 CPU are necessary to make the Gear VR work. So, we tried to test videos. The overall experience was good, though one should not use the Gear VR for more than 30 minutes at a time. The Note 4's Snapdragon 805 processor didn't produce any lag in the 360 degree videos , and games, in particular.
