List of Smartphones and Tablets Launched For The Week Ending February 3

This week, the tech world has been sizzled with the launch of the long delayed BlackBerry 10 operating system and two smartphones based on it - Q10 and Z10.

Over the week, the Indian tech market has also been splashed with a low of budget tech offerings from several manufacturers including local and global vendors. It is quite interesting to note that there is not tablet launch this week.

Moreover, all the smartphones that have been launched fall under budget price points and are equipped with impressive specifications.

Blackberry Z10 and Q10

BlackBerry Z10 comes with a 4.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot, HDMI port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G LTE and a removable 1,800 mAh battery.

BlackBerry Q10 similar specs expect for the difference in the display. The handset comes with a QWERTY keyboard and hence, it has a 3.1 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels.

HTC Butterfly

Butterfly boasts a 5 inch LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS topped with HTC Sense 4 UI, 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor, 2.1MP front camera for video calling, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, HDMI out, Bluetooth, NFC, micro USB and a 2,020 mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs 45,999 in India.

Lava Xolo X500

Xolo X500 packs a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 320 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz Intel Clover Trail+ processor with Hyper Threading technology, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera for video calling, 4GB onboard storage, 512MB RAM, a micro SD card slot supporting upto 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and a 1,500 mAh battery of undisclosed backup.

Lava has priced Xolo X500 at Rs 8,999 making it a reasonable offering in the budget conscious Indian market.

Spice Mi-530

Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530 packs a 5.3 inch qHD IPS display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz dual core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera for video calling, 16GB onboard storage, micro SD card slot for expandable memory support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 2,550 mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs 13,999 in India.

iBall Andi 4.5Q

iBall Andi 4.5Q Android Jelly Bean smartphone sporting 4.5-inch TFT LCD Capacitive touch screen with 540×960 pixels qHD resolution, 1GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor with 512MB RAM, 8MP rear camera accompanied with a VGA front camera for video calling, 4GB internal storage along with a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Bluetooth v2.1, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi with hotspot, micro USB v2.0, 3G, 2G connectivity features and a dependable 2,050 mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs 13,400.

NXG XFAB 2 Mini

NXG Xfab 2 Mini is priced at Rs 12,490 and the handset will be available for purchase from February 5, 2013.

Micromax A89 Ninja

A89 Ninja packs a 4 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core MediaTek MT6577 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 3MP rear camera, 2GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and a 1,450 mAh battery.

A89 Ninja has been listed on a couple of online retailers including Infibeam.com and MyVirtualPlaza.com with a price tag of Rs 6,299.

Videocon VT71

VT71 sports a 7 inch capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1.2GHz Rockchip RK2918 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 0.3MP front camera for video calling, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3G via dongle, Wi-Fi, micro USB 2.0, USB OTG support, HDMI out and a 3,200 mAh battery.

The tablet has been launched at a price of Rs 4,799 and it comes with free HDMI and OTG cables.
