Sony DSC RX1, Alpha NEX-5R and NEX-6 Cameras Launched in India
At the Consumer Electronics Imaging Fair (CEIF) 2013 taking place in New Delhi on January 4, Sony released three nexy generation digital cameras in India. The cameras holding model names DSC RX1, the Alpha NEX-5R and NEX-6 are available starting today holding price tags of Rs 1,79,990 (body only), Rs 40,000 (with an 18-55mm lens) and Rs 50,000 (with an 18-55mm lens) respectively.
Despite being a compact camera, Sony Cyber-shot RX1 has been designed for serious photographers. Many have even claimed that it is the most serious compact camera with a full-frame sensor and a fixed 35mm F2 lens and that makes it a real heavyweight in the field of lightweight photography.

- Focus range switch for focus down to 0.2m (14cm from the front of the lens)

On the other hand, Sony Alpha NEX-5R and is the seventh from Sony's NEX family and the third in its ‘5' series. The camera has been designed to target folks demanding more than the point-and-shoot series ‘3' cameras. It features a dedicated function button and control dial along with a modified sensor and DNLA-compliant Wi-Fi and on-camera apps.

Last but not least, the Sony Alpha NEX-6 is designed for those demanding better image qualities sans the bulk of a DSLR but with the same level of customization and control that a DSLR offers. The NEX-6 offers a modified sensor along with a stunning 2.3 million dot OLED EVF, built-in flash and even an exposure mode dial.
