Angry Birds Toons: Rovio Sets Date for Animated Cartoon Series as March 16

    Dosn't every one have fun slinging birds at pigs, indeed the Angry birds is one of the biggest gaming franchises to ever exist. With a volatile combination of addictive game play and comical outlook, this game is a perfect time killer. There is a new Angry bird excitement coming our way, the creators Rovio have announced that the animated cartoon series of the game is to premiere on the 16th of March.

    The all new animated series will take you deep into the heart of Piggy island where the furious avian flock set forth on a adventure against the Egg-hungry, pigs. The Cartoon series will feature an number of short animated episodes which will be aired weekly.

    News of the animated series being made came back in April 2012 and now the company has released a trailer to the anticipated series.

    The company says the cartoon series will be different from the game, as it will explore deep into the emotions of the birds. Perhaps story will revolves on "why the the birds are angry all the time".

    Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio says the company sees a long term future for the franchise and is looking to give great deal of attention to the content being offered. He expressed his vision of the animated series generating a cult following and being relatable to people even after decades.

    The fun doesn't stop here, nope not even close, because Rovio Entertainment will be releasing the Angry Birds 3D animated movie in 2016. The company has confirmed that John Cohen will be producing the movie and also David Maisel is going to be the executive producer.
