Good gaming support is one of a must-have feature which sells electronic devices like Tablets, smartphones etc apparently. Laptops with good graphics processing units are received well. This might be why Electronics device manufacturers seem to be focusing on enabling extensive gaming support in Tablets and laptops. But for a device to have good gaming support, it needs to have powerful hardware specifications.
Speaking about power, no gadget lover can forget Asus’ contribution to the tablet industry. Asus’ Transformer Prime tablet is considered to be the most powerful tablet ever made. The Transformer Prime also supports near high-end gaming as well. Now Asus is preparing to launch a Notebook which is also reported to be gaming friendly. It hasn’t been long since Microsoft unveiled the Kinect motion sensing controller for desktop computers.
Now, a lot of reports are coming in claiming that Kinect motion sensing technology is due to come for portable computers as well, which obviously includes Notebooks, and as per the reports Asus is said to be at the forefront to implement the technology. Asus has a reputation of succeeding in doing the inconceivable. The idea of NVIDIA’s 3D vision sensor in Laptops, was supposed to be very hard to implement. But Asus came through without breaking a sweat. The 3D vision sensor was integrated into their Notebook’s bezel.
Reportedly, Asus is going to do the same with the Kinect motion sensing technology as well, by stripping out the camera and sensors in the controller and integrating them into the Notebook’s bezel. Sources who claim to have seen the prototypes of the Notebook unofficially of course describe the notebook as a sleek, stylish device with a number of sensors. The sensors are all placed near the webcam at the top and the device doesn’t look awkward even with this much number of sensors. The Asus Notebook is said to be running in Windows 8 Operating system.
With the Kinect motion sensing technology in it, the Asus notebook is not just going to be useful for gaming alone, but also navigation as well. Something similar to the Metro User Interface in the Windows 8 would mean that the motion sensing technology would detect the swipes of your hand and then navigate the tiles accordingly. There are also reports that Microsoft will be playing a significant role in the manufacture of these laptops. But it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. More details about the Asus Notebook and the Kinect motion sensing technology would be disclosed soon.
