Halo 5: Guardians Launching October 27, Can it help Microsoft Sell Xbox One?

Microsoft is the most trusted name in the console business and yet the Xbox One has failed to make a major mark against the PlayStation 4. And although Microsoft has been talking about the bright future of the Xbox One, it continues to perform poorly.

After a period of drought, one of 2015's most-awaited games is finally nearing its release. "Halo 5" has been touted as the biggest entertainment launch of the year. And the good news is that the trailers confirm the game's release date of October 27 this year.

Halo 5: Guardians Launching October 27

Microsoft has officially unveiled two new trailers or its upcoming sci-fi shooter, Halo 5: Guardians. One features Master Chief and the other features Spartan Locke, who refers to Master Chief as "the one who was supposed to save us all", notes Gamespot.

No other information was revealed and the amount actual gameplay shown in the trailer was limited. Halo 5: Guardians is currently in development with 343 Industries and will exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox One console.

Halo 5: Guardians has been pinpointed as one of the potential game for Microsoft's troubled home console. The system has received its fair share of criticism over the last year due to a lack of big game releases and seemingly a lack of interest from gamers across the world.
