Hungama Digital, Gameshastra JV to Offer Games in Celebrity, Lifestyle, Sports and Bollywood Genres

The games outsourcing services provider, Gameshastra, which is based in Hyderabad, gets a new partner - Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, a Mumbai based Digital Media Company. Reportedly, the team-up would give rise to a gaming company, which will specialize in the development of localized games.

Hungama Digital is already a known name in the gaming industry, as they have their own game development studio called Hungama Game Studio. By teaming up with Gameshastra, the company aims to expand their business in the gaming field to new heights, developing console games as well as games compatible with iOS and Android platforms for local consumption.

Gameshastra is making a name for itself by testing, developing and even publishing video games for consoles such as Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii and DS etc. The company has also been successful in developing games for the Android, iOS, Windows and Mac OS X platforms. Neeraj Roy, CEO and MD of Hungama, promises that their partnership with Gameshastra will bring forth engaging and addictive games for gaming enthusiasts.

Hungama Digital - Gameshastra partnership will reportedly develop games in Celebrity, lifestyle, sports and Bollywood genres. The companies have already released a mobile game version of the recently released Bollywood movie, Race 2. Hungama Digital has tie-ups with more than 400 content creating companies, studios and game publishers and has licensed almost half a million video and music titles worldwide.
