Microsoft Xbox One Price Drops to Rs 29,990 For Limited Period
Microsoft has cut the price of Xbox One in India to Rs. 29,990, making it cheaper than Sony's PS4 for the first time in the country. The software giant is now offering its flagship console at a much cheaper price, which marks the first official price cut in the country. The firm launched the Xbox One in India last year at a price of Rs. 39,990.
According to the official Xbox One India Facebook page, the console will be made available at Rs. 29,999, down from Rs. 39,990. It comes with a free downloadable code for FIFA 2015. The limited-time promotional offer applies to the Xbox One console. This special bundle doesn't include a Kinect sensor system. Microsoft is selling the Xbox One via Amazon.

The Xbox One's temporary price cut is a sign of how the console has been received in India. Microsoft last reported its worldwide Xbox One sales in November, when it noted 10 million consoles sold to retailers. The firm has not announced a new sales figure so far this year. As of March 1, Sony had sold more than 20 million PS4 consoles.
The PS4 launched for Rs. 39,999 in India in January 2014. From the beginning, Sony focused on creating a fantastic gaming experience. Japanese giant recently unveiled a new Project Morpheus prototype earlier last week in San Francisco. The PS4 virtual reality headset will be launched sometime in the first half of 2016.
