Acer Predator Atlas 7 Windows Handheld Gaming Console Announced: Check Specifications, Features, Launch Date

Acer has added a smaller Windows gaming handheld to its Predator portfolio with the Predator Atlas 7, a 7-inch model aimed at players who want a more portable alternative to larger PC handhelds. Announced at the next@acer global press conference in Berlin, the device follows the Predator Atlas 8 shown at Computex earlier this year.

The Predator Atlas 7 is built around Windows 11 Home and is positioned as a compact PC gaming device rather than a cloud-only console. Acer says the handheld can be configured with up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics, along with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage.

Predator Atlas 7 Display and Performance Hardware

The handheld uses a 7-inch Full HD IPS-level touchscreen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports 10-point multi-touch input, a 120Hz refresh rate and Variable Refresh Rate, which should help reduce screen tearing in supported games. Acer also lists a 500-nit peak brightness rating.

For colour coverage, the display is rated at 100% sRGB and 75% Adobe RGB. Protection is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC anti-reflective treatment, and Acer will also include a tempered-glass protector in the retail package. These details matter for handhelds, where glare, scratches and outdoor visibility can affect daily use.

Thermals are handled by a dual-fan cooling system. Acer has combined an 89-blade, 0.1mm precision metal Predator AeroBlade fan with a second plastic fan. The internal airflow uses the company’s Vortex Flow tuning to move heat away from key components during heavier workloads, including longer gaming sessions.

Battery and Connectivity

Acer has given the Predator Atlas 7 contoured grips, textured anti-slip areas and a larger palm rest to improve comfort. Buyers will get standard carbon film joysticks, while optional Tunneling Magnetoresistance joysticks are designed to reduce drift and remove dead zones. The handheld also includes Hall-effect analogue triggers for more precise input.

Security is built into the power button through a Windows Hello-compatible fingerprint reader. For connectivity, the device includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which can support high-speed accessories and external displays. It also has a UHS-II microSD card reader compliant with SD 4.0 and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

Wireless support is handled by an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1775s module with Bluetooth 5.4. Audio comes from two 2W speakers using a Realtek ALC712 codec, with DTS:X Ultra and Hi-Res Audio support. Dual microphones are included, backed by Acer PurifiedVoice AI noise suppression for calls and in-game chat.

The Predator Atlas 7 will be offered with two battery configurations. The 60Wh version weighs under 700g, while the 80Wh 4-cell Li-ion version weighs under 750g. Both variants share the same listed dimensions of 292 × 112.7–123 × 28.5–48.4mm and support 65W USB Type-C charging.

Acer says the Predator Atlas 7 will launch first in EMEA markets from November 2026, followed by North America in the fourth quarter of 2026. Pricing will be announced closer to sale. Retail units will include the PredatorSense management app and two months of Xbox Game Pass access, giving buyers a ready library to test the hardware.
