Acer Predator Atlas 8 Gaming Handheld Debuts with Intel Arc Hardware: Specifications, Features, Availability
Acer is adding the Predator Atlas 8 (PA08-I51) gaming handheld to its Predator line. The device is built around up to the Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor with Intel Arc G-Series graphics. It supports up to Intel Arc B390 graphics, including ray tracing for higher lighting accuracy and richer scenes.
The handheld launches in North America, EMEA, and Australia from October 2026, targeting portable PC gaming. It runs Windows 11 and supports Xbox Mode optimisations for quicker menu movement and smoother system handling. XBOX Game Pass is included, giving access to a wide range of games immediately.

Acer Predator Atlas 8 Gaming Handheld: Features & Specifications
For longer play, the Predator Atlas 8 includes up to an 80Wh battery with Intel Endurance Gaming technology. This system manages power draw and performance together, helping stretch gaming sessions between charges. A dual-fan cooling layout, based on Predator laptops, works to keep hardware temperatures under control.
Acer states the Predator Atlas 8 is the first handheld to use a metal Predator AeroBlade fan. The fan has 89 blades, each 0.1 mm thick, and targets up to 10 percent more airflow. A second plastic fan and Vortex Flow channels guide air, improving heat removal during demanding use.
The handheld uses an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and wider vertical view. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, VRR, and 10-point multi-touch. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a DXC coating protects the panel while aiding clarity under different lighting.
Control hardware includes full-size analogue sticks suited to PC-style play. A dual-mode trigger design lets users swap between micro-switch mode for FPS titles and Hall-effect analogue mode for racing and simulation games. PredatorSense software is integrated for monitoring, fan tuning, RGB lighting changes, and a quick-access in-game overlay button.
Audio and Connectivity Features
Sound is handled by DTS:X Ultra processing with dual 2W speakers. Dual microphones use Acer PurifiedVoice AI noise reduction to make voice chat clearer during multiplayer games. This audio setup aims to support both casual play and longer online sessions with more consistent communication quality.
Connectivity features include dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for peripherals and charging flexibility. UHS-II microSD support allows storage expansion for larger game libraries. Wireless support covers Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, giving high-speed networking and accessory pairing options across home networks and public hotspots.
