Age of Empires Mobile PC Edition Launches on Steam and Microsoft Store With Crossplay Support

Age of Empires Mobile has made its jump from phones to desktops, with the PC Edition now available on Steam and the Microsoft Store. The free-to-download release brings the mobile strategy game to Windows PCs with keyboard and mouse controls, a redesigned interface and support for higher-resolution visuals.

The launch gives existing players a larger-screen option without forcing them to start again. Age of Empires Mobile: PC Edition supports crossplay and cross-progression, allowing users to move between phones, tablets and PCs while keeping their game data synced through the same account.

Age of Empires Mobile PC Edition gets Desktop-focused Changes

The PC version keeps the core mobile gameplay intact. Players can build kingdoms, train armies, join alliances, take part in large-scale battles and play seasonal events. The main change is how the game fits a desktop setup, especially for players who prefer longer sessions on a monitor.
