Nurturing Valorant Talent

The ROG Academy, which has been instrumental in fostering esports talent in India, is leveling up with Seasons 11 and 12. Global Esports, renowned for its success across games like CS:GO, DOTA 2, and Valorant, will bring its expertise in scouting, training, and building competitive players.

Registration for the new seasons will open on January 28, 2025, for a week, with Global Esports overseeing the selection of five players. The participants will undergo a comprehensive program, including:

  • 6 months of professional Valorant training.
  • A 5-day immersive bootcamp in Mumbai, focusing on teamwork, professional insights, and mentorship.
  • Access to ROG's premium gaming equipment, including Strix laptops, gaming mice, headphones, and monitors.

Additionally, players will receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000 and have opportunities to scrimmage with Tier-1 teams.

Enhancing the Esports Ecosystem

India's esports landscape is evolving rapidly, and initiatives like ROG Academy are driving this growth. Players not only receive game-specific training but also benefit from biannual workshops for themselves and their families, aimed at addressing misconceptions about gaming careers.

Since its inception, ROG Academy has trained 54 players over ten seasons, with more than 15 securing spots in top-tier organizations. Participants have competed in 21 tournaments in the past season alone, achieving notable placements in events like the Dust2 India - 1xBet Cup Open Qualifier and ESL Challenger Jonkoping - Asia Qualifier.

Voices Behind the Initiative

Arnold Su, Vice President of Consumer and Gaming PC, ASUS India, highlighted the growth of esports in the country:
"Esports has become an integral part of mainstream youth culture. With India emerging as one of the fastest-growing esports markets, we are committed to refining talent and offering aspiring athletes the tools they need to thrive."

Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Rushindra Sinha, Founder and CEO of Global Esports, said:
"Together with ASUS, we aim to build the next generation of Valorant superstars in India, empowering rookies to achieve their dream of going pro. We're thrilled to begin this journey powered by ROG's cutting-edge equipment."
