ASUS ROG ALLY X Launched in India for Rs 89,990: Check Specifications, Features

ASUS has officially launched a more powerful version of its handheld gaming console in India. The ASUS ROG ALLY (Review) made its debut in India last year and is now being succeeded by the ROG ALLY X. While the ASUS ROG ALLY X may not be sequel to the ROG Ally, it offers some key improvements.

The ASUS ROG ALLY X price in India is set at Rs 89,990. ASUS's handheld gaming PC is available for purchase through the ASUS ROG Store, E-shop, Flipkart, and Amazon.

ASUS ROG ALLY X Specifications

The ASUS ROG ALLY X is powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme CPU paired with the Radeon 780M iGPU. The handheld gaming console comes with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM (Dual Channel) and 1TB of M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD storage, which is expandable up to 4TB. The ROG ALLY X comes with an upgraded 80Wh battery and a 65W PD adapter.

The ASUS ROG ALLY X sports a 7-inch Full HD IPS Touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 7ms response time. The display supports FreeSync Premium and 100% sRGB coverage. The panel on the ROG ALLY X is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and 500 nits of brightness.

The handheld gaming PC also packs stereo speakers with Smart Amp technology, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Two-way AI Noise Cancellation. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 4 support, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card reader. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The upgraded Zero Gravity thermal system in the ROG ALLY X includes a third air vent to enhance airflow. This additional fan chamber vent, directed at the display, helps reduce the system temperature by up to 8 degrees overall and lowers the panel temperature by up to 6 degrees. The Anti-Gravity heat pipes improve heat dissipation, while the fluid-bearing fans maintain low noise levels and consistent performance regardless of orientation.
