ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X Launched in India: Check Price, Specifications, Features, Pre-Order Offers

ASUS ROG has launched two new handheld gaming devices in India, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. These devices, which were globally introduced in June 2025, integrate Xbox, Battle.net, and PC gaming into a single portable unit. They operate on a customised Windows 11 interface, providing users with a seamless gaming experience.

The ROG Xbox Ally series offers an intuitive gaming experience by booting directly into a full-screen Xbox interface. This design allows for easy navigation using controllers. The devices come equipped with Game Bar and Armoury Crate features, enabling quick access to games, system settings, and performance controls.

Software Features

Users can enjoy a combined library of titles from platforms like Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, Steam, and Epic Games. With Xbox Play Anywhere support, gamers can play over 1,000 titles across consoles, PCs, and handhelds while maintaining progress and achievements. Additional software features include Remote Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming for streaming games from consoles or the cloud.

The devices also feature Gaming Copilot for assistance with game launching and skill guidance. Roblox is optimised for native handheld play. Enhanced accessibility features adapted from Xbox and Windows are included. A developer program is planned to introduce Ally-optimized game tags similar to Steam Deck compatibility.

Hardware Specifications

The ROG Xbox Ally targets general gamers with its specifications, while the Ally X offers higher performance and extended battery life. Both models boast a 7-inch Full HD 120Hz LCD display with FreeSync Premium technology. The screens have 500 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus with an anti-reflective coating.

The Ally X model comes with an 80Wh battery compared to the standard Ally's 60Wh battery. Connectivity options include USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, a UHS-II microSD slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The ergonomic design includes Xbox-style grips with ABXY buttons, analog sticks, D-pad, back buttons, HD haptics, and a 6-axis motion sensor.

The ROG Xbox Ally models are available for pre-order through ASUS Exclusive Stores, ASUS eShop, Amazon.in, and Vijay Sales with a one-year international warranty. The ROG Xbox Ally is priced at Rs. 69,990 in India, while the ROG Xbox Ally X costs Rs. 1,14,990.
