GTA 5 And Red Dead Redemption 2 Are Leaving PS Plus Catalog Before GTA 6 Launch
Sony is preparing to remove several games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in November, including Rockstar Games' GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Both titles will leave the service on November 17, which is just 2 days before GTA 6 launches. The much-awaited title will launch on November 19.

Coming back to the titles that are leaving the PS Plus catalog, they are currently available through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions. It is also worth noting that the removal of these games does not affect players who own the titles separately. Read on.
GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 Among Games Leaving PS Plus
GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are among the most notable titles leaving the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog next month. So, if you haven't yet experienced any of these games, now is probably the time. Both of these titles are quite long, especially when we talk about RDR 2. So, if you want to start playing any of these, it is best to start as soon as possible.
As for those looking for something different, they can try The Talos Principle 2, a first-person puzzle game that is included in the list of titles being removed.
Here is the full list of games leaving the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues on November 17:
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)
- Football Manager 26 (PS5)
- GTA 5 (PS4, PS5)
- The Talos Principle 2 (PS5)
- Cricket 24 (PS4, PS5)
- Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (PS4, PS5)
- Hotshot Racing (PS4)
- Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break (PS4)
- Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair (PS4)

What Happens To Games After They Leave PS Plus?
Once these games are removed from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, you will no longer be able to play them through your subscription, even if the titles remain downloaded on your consoles. You will need to purchase the games separately to continue playing them.
In other news, Sony added a few titles to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in October including Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West. Hence, those who miss the departing games will still have other options to explore through the service.
