BGMI 4.5 Update Brings Spider-Man to India for the First Time

Krafton India has confirmed that Marvel's Spider-Man is swinging into Battlegrounds Mobile India as part of the upcoming 4.5 update. Timed to line up with the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day's theatrical release, this marks Marvel's return to BGMI, and it's a much bigger deal than a typical cosmetic crossover.

Availability

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day collaboration runs from July 30 to September 14, 2026, as part of the BGMI 4.5 update. Krafton says trailers, gameplay reveals, and rollout details will be shared through BGMI's official YouTube and Instagram channels as the date gets closer.

A New Vertical City Rises Over Erangel

This isn't just a skin pack; it actually reshapes part of the map. Familiar zones on Erangel get replaced by a modern, Spider-Man-inspired urban district built specifically around vertical movement:

Skyline Plaza – a new high-rise district taking over spots previously occupied by zones like Gatka and Mansion
A dense vertical city – rooftops, elevated walkways, and fast traversal routes built around the idea of going up, not just forward
Skyline Ziplines – scattered across the urban zone so players can move quickly between rooftops without losing momentum mid-fight

Two signature items unlock Spider-Man-style mechanics:

Peter Parker's Gloves

Web Swing – travel between buildings at high speed
Web Attack – fire webs that damage, slow, and eventually trap enemies

Peter Parker's Hoodie

Wall Climbing – scale buildings and vertical surfaces
Spider Sense – detect enemy movement through footprints and tracking indicators
Double Jump – reach rooftops and elevated areas faster

Story Moments and Easter Eggs

Beyond combat, the update adds a handful of narrative touches built around Spider-Man's world:

Peter Parker's Apartment – an explorable space with interactive objects and hidden Easter eggs
Rescue Photo Zone – a cinematic moment where Spider-Man saves a falling player, capped off with an in-game photo
