BGMI Kiaraa Update 2026: How To Summon The New Diwali Boss And Claim Exclusive Rewards
Krafton is preparing to bring a distinctly Indian festive update to Battlegrounds Mobile India, with Kiaraa set to arrive in BGMI on October 8. The new character is being positioned differently from past celebrity-led or licensed collaborations, as Kiaraa has been developed in-house for Indian players and tied directly to the game’s Diwali-season content.
The update builds on BGMI 4.6, which rolled out on September 16. While the core version is already available, Kiaraa and the dedicated themed content will unlock separately. Players can expect a Diwali-inspired bazaar on Erangel, a special boss encounter, event rewards, and a new India-specific Prize Path later in October.

BGMI Kiaraa release date and event schedule
Kiaraa will become available in BGMI from October 8. Players who have already installed the BGMI 4.6 update may still need to download additional in-game resources before the character and related content appear. Krafton often delivers seasonal assets through internal downloads after the main app update is installed.
The India-specific Prize Path will run from October 22 to November 15, 2026. It is designed around the festive season and will include 20 stages. The event is expected to offer themed rewards through progression, giving regular players another reason to return during the Diwali window.
For Indian BGMI users, the update is notable because it moves beyond simply adding cosmetic items. The new content includes a dedicated gameplay space, a character encounter, and challenges linked to Kiaraa. That makes it one of Krafton India’s more localised seasonal rollouts for the battle royale title.
What Kiaraa brings to Erangel
Kiaraa will appear through a Diwali-themed bazaar added to Erangel. To trigger the encounter, players will need to locate four lamps placed in a courtyard in the shape of peacocks. Once those lamps are found, summon points can be used to call Kiaraa and begin the boss fight.
The boss encounter is expected to focus on ranged attacks. Kiaraa uses a bow and arrows and can attack from above, which should force players to be more aware of vertical movement and cover. This could make the fight feel different from standard ground-based skirmishes on Erangel.
The Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection will include several themed items. These include the Kiaraa Nakshatra Set, Divine Peacock Glider, Divine Radiance SCAR-L, Divine Chariot Buggy, Arrow Rain Emote and Divine Edge Machete. Players can also expect an Exchange Center, daily login rewards and Kiaraa Arena challenges during the event period.
How to access Kiaraa in BGMI 4.6
Players who want to access Kiaraa should first update BGMI through the Google Play Store. After launching the game, they should also check for in-game download prompts. Large seasonal updates often require additional resource packs, even when the app itself is already on the latest version.
Kiaraa will remain locked until the October 8 launch date, so players may not see the character immediately after updating BGMI 4.6. Once the content goes live, the new bazaar, summon mechanics and related rewards should become available through the event interface and Erangel gameplay.
The Kiaraa update shows Krafton’s continued focus on India-specific content for BGMI. By linking a new original character with Diwali-themed events, rewards and gameplay changes, the company is trying to make the festive update feel more local than a standard seasonal cosmetic drop.
