BGMI Turns 5: New 4.5 Update Introduces Naruto, Spider-Man, Ferrari, and New Creator Features

KRAFTON India has rolled out the BGMI 5th Anniversary Edition 4.5 Update, marking a major milestone for the country's most popular battle royale game. With over 260 million Indian players, the update signals BGMI's evolution beyond a traditional shooter into a broader entertainment and social platform.

The latest release introduces multiple global franchises in a single update, allowing players to experience content from Naruto, Spider-Man, and Ferrari simultaneously. Alongside these collaborations, the update also expands creator tools, social features, and player progression systems.

Naruto Collaboration Brings New Gameplay Mechanics

The biggest highlight of Version 4.5 is the Naruto: Ninjas Assemble collaboration. Classic maps such as Erangel and Livik now feature iconic anime locations including Hokage Rock, Ichiraku Ramen, and the Ninja Academy.

The crossover also introduces Naruto-inspired combat mechanics. Players can use abilities like Rasengan, Chidori, and Flying Raijin Jutsu, while the new Ninja Run movement system enables faster traversal across the battlefield.

A new Kurama Defense mode temporarily replaces PvP combat with a cooperative boss battle against the Nine-Tails, encouraging squad-based gameplay.

Spider-Man and Ferrari Join the Battleground

Following the Naruto event, BGMI will introduce the Spider-Man: Brand New Day collaboration starting July 30, coinciding with the movie's release. Players will gain access to abilities such as web-swinging, wall climbing, and Spider-Sense, while new locations including Peter Parker's Apartment and Skyline Plaza will be added to the game.

Motorsport fans also have something to look forward to. BGMI's latest update brings Ferrari to the game, allowing players to drive vehicles such as the LaFerrari, Roma, Purosangue, and SF90 XX Spider. Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 cars will also be available as display vehicles for in-game photo opportunities.

New Features for Indian Creators

KRAFTON is also expanding its support for the Indian creator community through its World of Wonder (WOW) platform, which now has more than 50,000 active Indian map creators.

Version 4.5 introduces new creator-designed experiences developed in collaboration with popular content creator DoBiG. These include fresh tycoon and parkour game modes, giving players more ways to engage beyond battle royale gameplay.

The update also refreshes the Card Collection system with a design inspired by traditional cricket trump cards. Players can collect, trade, and complete themed card sets to unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards, while the latest collection incorporates Indian-inspired artwork.

CarryMinati Partnership and Quality-of-Life Improvements

Looking ahead, KRAFTON has confirmed an upcoming collaboration with Indian creator CarryMinati, scheduled for mid-August around India's Independence Day celebrations. The event will feature exclusive in-game experiences, custom voice lines, and additional content designed specifically for Indian players.

The 4.5 update also introduces several gameplay improvements, including the new Team-Up Reservation feature that lets players schedule squad sessions up to seven days in advance.

Players can now upgrade three new X-Suits by completing missions instead of relying entirely on premium currency. Additional social features include private squad visibility settings and a new Flash Crew season featuring Naruto-themed rewards, further strengthening BGMI's focus on community-driven gameplay.
