Control Resonant PC Requirements Explained: What You Need for 1080p, 1440p and 4K
If you are planning to play Control Resonant on PC, Remedy Entertainment has now revealed exactly what kind of hardware you will need. The good news is that you do not necessarily need a brand-new gaming rig just to get the game running.
The requirements start with fairly old hardware such as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 for 1080p gaming, but things get considerably more demanding once ray tracing enters the picture. If you want to push the game all the way to 4K with path tracing enabled, Remedy recommends an RTX 5080.

Regardless of which graphics preset you are aiming for, Control Resonant requires 16GB of RAM, Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit, and 120GB of SSD storage.
You Can Still Play Control Resonant on Older Hardware
The minimum requirements are actually fairly forgiving for a modern AAA release. Remedy is targeting 1080p at 30fps on the Low preset with Quality upscaling using a GTX 1070, Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A580.
That means a PC built several years ago may still have a reasonable shot at running the game, although you will obviously be giving up some visual quality and frame rate.
The recommended specification is where things start to look more comfortable. Remedy targets 1440p at 60fps on Medium settings with Balanced upscaling using an RTX 3060 Ti, Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc B580. You will also need at least 8GB of VRAM.
For players who want to move up to 4K at 60fps without ray tracing, the Enthusiast tier requires an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT with 10GB of VRAM. Interestingly, even this configuration uses Performance upscaling rather than native 4K rendering.
Ray Tracing Pushes the GPU Requirements Much Higher
Things get considerably more demanding once ray tracing is switched on. The minimum ray tracing configuration targets 1080p at 30fps using the Low graphics and Low ray tracing presets. For that, Remedy recommends an RTX 2060 SUPER, Radeon RX 6600, or Intel Arc A580 with 8GB of VRAM.
If you want 1440p at 60fps with Medium ray tracing, the requirement jumps to an RTX 4070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070. That is quite a substantial leap compared to the standard recommended configuration.
The top-end specification is where Control Resonant really starts flexing its graphical ambitions. Playing at 4K and 60fps with High graphics and High path tracing requires an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 12GB of VRAM.
Even that configuration uses Performance upscaling, which gives you a pretty clear idea of how demanding the game's path-traced lighting is likely to be.
Control Resonant Will Support DLSS 4.5, FSR 4.1 and Frame Generation
Remedy is also packing the PC version with plenty of modern graphics trickeries. The game will support NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.1 for upscaling and Frame Generation, alongside NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction.
Ray tracing and path tracing are both supported, while players with compatible displays will also get HDR and ultra-wide monitor support. Remedy is additionally allowing an uncapped frame rate on PC.
There is one important detail worth noting, though: Frame Generation was not used while Remedy tested the configurations listed above. In other words, the stated frame-rate targets are not relying on generated frames to reach those numbers.
Overall, the requirements cover a surprisingly wide range of PCs. You can still get into Control Resonant with hardware as old as a GTX 1070, but experiencing the game with all of its visual bells and whistles is going to require a much more powerful GPU. And if 4K path tracing is the goal, an RTX 5080 sits right at the top of Remedy's list.
