Forza Horizon 5 Is Coming to PS5 in April, Pre-Orders Now Live with Exclusive Bonuses
Forza Horizon 5, the popular open-world racing game from Playground Games, is finally making its way to PS5 on April 29. Originally launched in 2021 as an Xbox and PC exclusive, the game is now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store.
Players who opt for the Premium Edition will get early access starting April 25.

What’s Different on PS5?
Forza Horizon 5 will feature two graphics modes on PlayStation 5:
- Performance Mode: Runs at 60fps for smooth gameplay.
- Quality Mode: Runs at 30fps but adds ray-traced car reflections in Races and Free Roam.
- PS5 Pro users will see improved visual fidelity in Performance Mode.
While there aren’t major gameplay differences between Xbox and PlayStation versions, the addition of ray tracing in Free Roam is a welcome touch for PlayStation players.
Editions, Pricing, and Pre-Order Bonuses
Forza Horizon 5 will be available in three editions on PS5:
- Standard Edition – ₹3,999
- Deluxe Edition (includes Car Pass) – ₹5,399
- Premium Edition (includes Hot Wheels & Rally Adventure DLCs, VIP membership, Welcome Pack, and Early Access) – ₹6,599
Pre-ordering the game also comes with some extras:
- 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE cover car
- 5,000 Forzathon Points (used for in-game purchases)
- Five Backstage Passes (to unlock rare cars in the Backstage Shop)
Horizon Realms Update Launching Simultaneously
Alongside the PS5 release, Playground Games will roll out the Horizon Realms update on April 25 across all platforms. This update is expected to be one of the game’s biggest yet, introducing:

- Additional in-game challenges
This means new and returning players will have fresh content to explore right at launch.
