From Spending Caps to Game Blocking: 5 Roblox Controls Every Parent Should Use
If your kid plays Roblox, the platform has a parental dashboard that gives you a fair amount of control over how they use it. Most parents don't know half of what's actually in there.
Here's a quick rundown.

1. Set a Daily Time Limit That Actually Enforces Itself
You can set a daily screen time limit from the dashboard, right down to the exact hour or minute. When your child hits that limit, Roblox logs them out automatically. No arguments, no negotiation. You also get a seven day chart showing how much they've been playing each week.
2. Put a Hard Cap on Spending
From your phone, you can set a monthly spending limit on your child's account. Once they hit it, the in-game store locks until the next month. You can also switch on real time alerts so you get notified the moment they attempt a purchase.

3. Filter Content by Maturity Level
Roblox has its own content rating system, and the parental dashboard has a slider that lets you lock your child's account to a specific maturity level, whether that's Minimal, Mild, or Moderate. Anything rated above what you've set gets hidden from their feed automatically.
4. Block Specific Games
Even if a game passes Roblox's content rating for your child's age, you can still block it manually. Search for the game in the dashboard, block it, and it disappears from their home screen and search results completely.

5. Check Their Activity Without Touching Their Device
From your own device, you can pull up your child's full friends list, see recent friend additions, and browse every game they've opened. You don't need their tablet or phone to do any of it.
Two New Account Tiers Worth Knowing About
Roblox has also introduced two age-based account tiers that apply restrictions automatically.
Roblox Kids is for ages 5 to 8. It has a blue interface so you can spot it immediately, turns off all chat by default, and limits games to those rated Minimal or Mild only.
Roblox Select is for ages 9 to 15. It allows age-appropriate games and filtered chat, with parents keeping control over chat settings, game access, and other safety options throughout.
