GTA 6 May Arrive on PC Sooner Than You Think: All We Know So Far

If there is one game that we all can’t talk about enough these days, it is Rockstar Games’ GTA 6. The upcoming title is the most-awaited game of this year and every little update about it makes headlines. The game is set to launch for consoles on November 19 and until now, there was no confirmation for a PC release. But that has changed. Latest reports are pointing towards a PC launch timeline and if it turns out to be accurate, PC gamers may not have to wait that long at all.

When is GTA 6 coming to PC?

According to GamesBeat, Rockstar may launch the game on PC in the first quarter of 2027. If this indeed happens, it would mean that PC players will get their hands on the game just around two to four months after its console debut. And this would be a major change from Rockstar’s previous releases.

To recall, GTA 5 arrived on PC in April 2015. This was around 19 months after its original console launch in September 2013. Following a similar path, Red Dead Redemption 2 also took more than a year to reach PC after its console debut.

For now, there is no guarantee that the PC version of GTA 6 will arrive in early 2027 as the same is yet to be officially announced. So, it is best to take this information with a pinch of salt.

GTA 6 is the next major entry in Rockstar Games’ open-world action series. The game is officially scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two characters caught up in a criminal conspiracy after a job goes wrong. The game is set in Leonida, a fictional US state inspired by Florida. Its locations include Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Rockstar has released two official trailers, along with character details and screenshots, giving players an early look at the setting and story. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has also reaffirmed that the November 19, 2026, console release date remains on track.

Details such as the PC launch date, PC system requirements, pricing and pre-order plans for different platforms still need official confirmation. For now, console players have a confirmed release date, while PC gamers will have to wait for Rockstar to reveal when the game will arrive on their platform.
