ICU – Intensive Care Unit 8 Revealed: A Horror Game Where You Spot Anomalies to Escape, Steam Wishlist Live
A new horror game has just been revealed, and it’s leaning into a style that’s been quietly gaining popularity. ICU – Intensive Care Unit 8 is now official, and you can already wishlist it on Steam.

If you’ve come across loop-based horror games before, the core idea here will feel familiar. But the setting gives it a very different tone.
A Loop You Have To Break
The game drops you into a hospital corridor that keeps repeating. Your job is simple on paper. Walk through it, pay attention, and figure out what’s changed.

If everything looks normal, you move forward. If something feels off, you turn back.
That’s basically the loop. The catch is that not every change is obvious, and missing even a small detail can keep you stuck longer than you’d expect.
Not All Anomalies Are Harmless
The game revolves around anomalies, and there are quite a few of them. Some are small visual changes that you might miss if you’re not paying attention. Others are more direct and can turn into actual threats.

That’s where the tension comes from. You’re not just scanning the environment. You’re also trying to react quickly when something goes wrong.
From what’s been shared, the full game will include over 30 anomalies. Around 10 of these are described as more dangerous encounters. There are also a few rare ones that don’t show up often, which should make repeat runs less predictable.
Multiple Endings
It’s not just about escaping once. The game is expected to include multiple endings, so how you play and what you notice can change the outcome.
That gives it a bit more depth than a one-and-done experience. You might find yourself going back just to see what you missed.

A Familiar Idea With A Different Setting
Games like The Exit 8 and Shinkansen 0 have already explored this kind of loop-based design. ICU takes that idea and shifts it into a hospital.
That alone changes how it feels. Hospitals are already tense spaces, and even small changes in a corridor can feel more unsettling than they should.
Steam Wishlist Is Live
The Steam page is already up, so you can wishlist the game and follow updates from here. There’s no release date yet, but the reveal trailer is out, giving a quick look at how the loop works.
