Indus Battle Royale closed beta release date set for India’s 2023 festive season

The Battle Royale genre in India is brimming with the existence of BGMI formerly PUBG Mobile and Free Fire Max over the past few years. However, despite the made-in-India push, titles like FAU-G haven't been able to keep pace with the likes of BGMI and Free Fire Max.

Now, SuperGaming is aiming to change that with the new made-in-India battle royale titled Indus. Developer's SuperGaming recently released a new trailer for the title announcing the Indus Closed Beta, which will take place during the Festive season in 2023.

Indus Closed Beta Pre-Registration

The Indus Closed Beta will have a Battle Royale mode and other battle tested features that were a part of Indus community playtests. However, players will also be able to access the game with Closed beta keys, which will be available in limited quantities.

The way to get one of these keys is to pre-register for Indus on the Google Play Store. While a release on Apple's iOS is on the way, this seems to be first beta stage similar to internal playtests that looks to be limited to the larger Android player base for time being.

According to the company, the game has received over five million pre-registrations. The latest trailer for the Indus Battle Royale closed beta has voiceovers for game's numerous characters.

SuperGaming Ambitions with Indus

"The Indus Closed Beta trailer is our attempt at showcasing the Indian Gaming Industry by involving aspirational real-life icons from culture, sports, and content creation as a part of it," says Roby John, CEO, and Co-founder, SuperGaming.

Indus is the most ambitious title for SuperGaming, which has previously developed games such as MaskGun, Silly Royale, Battle Stars, and Tower Conquest. The company intends to share with its Discord community server. It said that beta will include battle royale mode as well as features from startup's earlier community playtests.

SuperGaming first unveiled Indus in January 2022 and plans to launch the title on mobile platforms, consoles, and PCs. Futuristic background - The game features the Indus Valley civilization as the backdrop of its story and is set in Indo Futurism. SuperGaming aims to turn Indus into the Indian version of Fortnite.
