Lenovo Legion Go 2 Gaming Handheld with AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Chip Launched At IFA Berlin 2025
Lenovo has officially launched its latest gaming handheld, the Lenovo Legion Go 2, at IFA Berlin. This announcement follows recent leaks that revealed the device's specifications and features. The Legion Go 2 is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip, offering up to 32GB of RAM and a maximum of 2TB SSD storage. It operates on Windows 11 and boasts an 8.8-inch OLED display, detachable controllers, and a significantly larger 78Whr battery compared to its predecessor.
The Legion Go 2 will be available in September 2025 in a single "Eclipse Black" colour option. The starting price is expected to be EUR 999, approximately Rs. 1,03,000. The device will be released in select markets during this period. According to The Verge, there will be four variants: the base model with an AMD Ryzen Z2 chip, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage; an AMZ Z2 + 32GB + 1TB variant; an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme version with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage; and a top-tier model featuring 2TB storage.

The Legion Go 2 is equipped with the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chipset and runs on Windows 11. Its display is an 8.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of (1920 x1200), which is lower than the previous model's resolution of 1600p. The touchscreen supports variable refresh rates up to 144Hz and can reach brightness levels of up to 500 nits.
This handheld device offers up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to a massive 2TB M.2 PCIe SSD (Gen 4) storage capacity. Additionally, users can expand storage by up to another 2TB using a microSD card slot. Connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports (USB 4.0), supporting DisplayPort 2.0 and Power Delivery 3.0, along with a standard audio combo jack.
Enhanced Features for Gaming Enthusiasts
The Legion Go 2 provides Wi-Fi connectivity through Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) technology and Bluetooth version 5.3 for seamless wireless communication. It also includes integrated speakers with dual-array near-field microphones for enhanced audio experiences during gameplay or communication.
A notable feature is its fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for added security and convenience. The device houses a robust battery of capacity at 78Whr that charges using a provided AC adapter rated at 65W power output. Lenovo highlights that their "Super Rapid Charge" technology enables faster charging times for uninterrupted gaming sessions on this portable console.
With TrueStrike controllers attached, the dimensions measure approximately at length:295mm width:137mm height:42mm while weighing around about920 grams making it relatively portable despite being packed full-featured hardware components inside it.
