CES 2025 | Lenovo Legion Go S Handheld Gaming Console Announced with AMD Ryzen Processors
At CES 2025, Lenovo introduced the Legion Go S, a new handheld gaming console available in both Windows 11 and SteamOS versions. The device is powered by AMD's Ryzen Z1 Extreme processors, offering up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. Additionally, Lenovo showcased a prototype for the upcoming Legion Go 2, which is anticipated to feature an updated processor later this year.
The Legion Go S features an 8-inch WQXGA LCD screen with a resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels. It boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of 500 nits. The device supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and includes two USB 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also has two built-in 2W speakers.

Lenovo Legion Go S Pricing and Availability
The Windows 11 version of the Lenovo Legion Go S starts at $729.99 (approximately Rs. 62,700) and will be available for purchase later this month. Additional configurations are expected in May, starting at $599.99 (around Rs. 51,500). Meanwhile, the SteamOS variant will be priced at $499.99 (roughly Rs. 42,900) and will also be available in May.
Both versions of the Legion Go S will come in Glacier White and Nebula Violet colours. However, Lenovo has not yet disclosed the launch date for the Legion Go 2.

The Lenovo Legion Go S is equipped with up to AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processors paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Storage options include up to a 1TB SSD with expansion possible via a MicroSD card slot.
The device houses a three-cell battery rated at 55.5Wh that can charge up to 85% within an hour using a provided 65W adapter. In terms of dimensions, the Legion Go S measures approximately 299×127.55×22.6mm and weighs around 740g.
Anticipated Features of Lenovo Legion Go 2

The prototype for the Lenovo Legion Go 2 was also revealed at CES with an enhanced display size of an 8.8-inch WUXGA OLED screen offering a resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. It is expected to run on AMD's Ryzen Z2 series processor coupled with up to 32GB RAM clocked at speeds of up to 7500MHz.
When launched, it is anticipated that the Legion Go 2 will share similar wireless connectivity options as its predecessor along with comparable storage specifications. The prototype includes a four-cell battery rated at 74Wh supporting fast charging capabilities with a compatible charger rated at up to65W output power capacity. It measures approximately295 .6 ×136 .7 ×42 .25 mm while weighing around one kilogramme . However , as this remains an unreleased prototype , final specifications may vary upon official release .
