Microsoft Confirms ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X Pricing Details: Check Specifications & Features

Microsoft has announced the pricing for its Xbox-branded ROG Ally handhelds, which are set to launch globally on October 16. The ROG Xbox Ally X will be priced at $1,000 in the US, while the more affordable ROG Xbox Ally will cost $600. These devices are now available for pre-order in select markets.

The announcement was made during the Tokyo Game Show. The ROG Xbox Ally X is priced at $999.99 (approximately Rs. 88,650), and the ROG Xbox Ally is set at $599.99 (around Rs. 53,200). Regional pricing will be confirmed as pre-orders become available in each area.

Pre-Order Availability and Market Expansion

Pre-orders for these handhelds can be placed through various platforms such as Xbox, Microsoft Store, Asus eshop, and selected local retailers. Despite their high price tags, demand appears strong. Microsoft reported that all pre-orders for the $1,000 ROG Xbox Ally X have sold out worldwide via the Xbox store.

The devices will launch in multiple countries including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates (UAE), United Kingdom (UK), United States (US), and Vietnam. Additionally confirmed markets include Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Slovenia, South Africa (SA), Thailand and Ukraine.

Technical Specifications and Features

The ROG Xbox Ally X is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip alongside 24GB of RAM and a 1TB storage capacity. Meanwhile the standard ROG Xbox Ally features a Ryzen Z2 chip with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space.

Both models operate on Windows 11 which boots directly into a new full-screen interface designed for gaming efficiency by keeping demanding operations in the background to free up memory resources.

Gaming Capabilities and Subscription Offerings

The handhelds support native PC gaming across various platforms like Steam Epic Game Store as well as through the Xbox app on Windows systems. Players can also access their console game library via Xbox Play Anywhere feature or through cloud gaming services offered by Microsoft.

Each purchase includes three months' subscription to Xbox Game Pass allowing users access to an extensive library of games during this period without additional cost. Microsoft plans further expansion into additional markets where existing ROG Ally products are sold such as India Brazil China Luxembourg Malaysia Philippines Switzerland among others with more details expected soon regarding these launches.
