Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Games Showcase is set for June 8. Following this, a special presentation for The Outer Worlds 2 will be streamed. This annual event will highlight upcoming titles from Microsoft's own studios and third-party developers. The Xbox Games Showcase will be broadcast live on Xbox's YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook channels at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK time (10.30pm IST) on June 8. After the main event, The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will provide an in-depth look at the upcoming RPG. Developer Obsidian will share new gameplay, insights, and details about the game.

Upcoming Titles and Expectations

This year's showcase follows a similar format to previous events, where the main livestream is succeeded by detailed presentations on specific games. This sequel to Obsidian's action-RPG The Outer Worlds was first announced in 2021 during the Xbox and Bethesda E3 showcase. At The Game Awards 2024, its initial gameplay trailer promised "more action, more weapons, and more graphics."
