GDC 2026: NVIDIA Announces DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, RTX Upgrades, and More
At the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2026, NVIDIA unveiled a range of new technologies and updates aimed at enhancing gaming performance, graphics quality, and AI-powered creation tools. The announcements include DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, new RTX innovations, updates to RTX Remix, and improvements to GeForce NOW.
DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation Arriving March 31
NVIDIA confirmed that DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation will be available starting March 31 through the next opt-in NVIDIA app beta. Introduced earlier at CES 2026, DLSS 4.5 brings improved image quality across GeForce RTX GPUs using a second-generation transformer model.

The technology also introduces up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, allowing smoother gameplay. Dynamic Multi Frame Generation can automatically adjust the frame multiplier in real time to maintain a target frame rate or match a display's refresh rate. The feature will initially be available for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.
DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing Expanding to More Games
NVIDIA also announced that 20 upcoming games will support DLSS 4.5 and path-traced graphics. Some of the titles confirmed to receive the technology include 007 First Light, CONTROL Resonant, and Tides of Annihilation.
The new DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution model enhances image quality across all RTX GPUs using an advanced transformer-based AI model.
NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry Foliage System Introduced
Another major announcement at GDC was the new NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry Foliage System, designed to improve rendering in large environments filled with vegetation.
The technology compresses geometry into clusters, enabling the system to handle massive scenes while updating them up to 100 times faster than traditional methods. This improves performance and reduces VRAM usage while enabling high-quality path tracing.
NVIDIA also revealed that it is collaborating with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate this technology into The Witcher 4, while it will also appear in CONTROL Resonant later this year.
RTX Remix Update Brings Advanced Particle VFX
NVIDIA also previewed an update to RTX Remix, its modding platform designed to remaster classic games using RTX technologies.
The upcoming update will introduce Advanced Particle VFX, allowing modders to create more realistic particle effects such as smoke, sparks, and environmental effects. A preview of the technology can already be experienced in the latest Quake III Arena RTX demo.
New GeForce Game Ready Driver Released
NVIDIA has also released a new GeForce Game Ready Driver, optimized for upcoming titles including Crimson Desert and DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH.
Both games will support DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, enabling higher frame rates and improved visual performance. The driver also adds support for more than 35 new G-SYNC Compatible gaming displays.
GeForce NOW Expands Features and VR Support
The company also announced improvements to GeForce NOW, its cloud gaming platform. Starting March 19, the service will support up to 90 FPS gameplay on virtual reality devices, including Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest headsets.
NVIDIA also confirmed that GOG account linking and game library syncing will be added in the coming months, joining existing support for Xbox, Ubisoft Connect, and Epic Games.
AI Video Generation and CloudXR Updates
NVIDIA also highlighted new AI-focused updates for creators. The company introduced ComfyUI's App View, which makes AI-powered video generation more accessible for developers using RTX GPUs.
Additionally, NVIDIA and Apple announced that CloudXR 6.0 will be integrated into visionOS, allowing developers to stream high-fidelity XR experiences from RTX systems directly to Apple Vision Pro
