ONMO+ Takes on Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce NOW in India with Rs 4,999 Smart Console

OnMobile Global has entered India's cloud gaming market with the launch of ONMO+, a new cloud gaming platform bundled with what the company calls a Smart Console. Rather than functioning as a traditional gaming console, the device acts as a gateway to stream games from remote servers, eliminating the need for high-end gaming hardware.

The launch package includes the Smart Console, a Pro Controller, and a three-month ONMO+ subscription, giving users access to a library of cloud-streamed games across multiple devices.

ONMO+ Launches in India with Smart Console Bundle at Rs 4,999

ONMO+ Price in India and Availability

The ONMO+ Smart Console is priced at Rs. 4,999 in India. The introductory bundle includes:

  • ONMO+ Smart Console
  • Pro Controller
  • Three-month ONMO+ subscription

The bundle is available for purchase via Flipkart starting today. OnMobile has not yet announced the monthly subscription price after the complimentary three-month period.

ONMO+ Features: Cloud Gaming Without Expensive Hardware

Although OnMobile markets ONMO+ as a smart console, it is essentially a cloud gaming platform. Instead of processing games locally, all rendering takes place on OnMobile's remote GPU servers, with gameplay streamed over the internet.

According to the company, the service offers access to hundreds of games, including:

  • The Forgotten City
  • Arise: A Simple Story
  • AO Tennis 2
  • Gravity Circuit

ONMO+ supports gaming across multiple platforms, including TVs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. For users with compatible game libraries, the platform also enables streaming of supported AAA titles through custom-built gaming GPU servers developed in partnership with AMD and AsRock Rack.

To reduce latency, OnMobile says it has deployed dedicated GPU infrastructure across both North India and South India.
The bundled Pro Controller is designed to offer a more console-like gaming experience, making the platform suitable for both casual and enthusiast gamers.

ONMO+ vs Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce NOW

With its debut, ONMO+ joins a competitive cloud gaming segment already occupied by Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia's GeForce NOW, and JioGames Cloud.

Unlike Xbox Cloud Gaming, which is bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and primarily offers Microsoft's first-party and partner titles, ONMO+ currently focuses on providing access to its own cloud gaming catalogue while also supporting compatible user-owned game libraries for select AAA titles.

GeForce NOW, on the other hand, works differently by allowing users to stream PC games they already own through platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store. It offers high-end graphics settings and ray tracing on supported hardware but requires users to own the games separately.

ONMO+ differentiates itself with its entry-level Smart Console bundle, bundled controller, and locally deployed GPU servers in India. Its success, however, will likely depend on the breadth of its game catalogue, subscription pricing after the introductory offer, and real-world streaming performance.

As cloud gaming adoption continues to grow in India, ONMO+ aims to provide a lower-cost alternative for players who want a console-like experience without investing in expensive gaming hardware.
