PlayStation Plus Premium Members Can Now Stream PS5 Games Directly from Cloud

Last year, Sony introduced a beta version of Cloud Streaming for PlayStation Plus Premium members. This feature allowed users to access select PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog without needing a PS5 console through Remote Play. Now, Sony has confirmed a significant update for the PS Portal, officially launching Cloud Streaming for PS5 games for these members.

PlayStation Plus Premium members can now stream select PS5 games directly from cloud. At launch, thousands of PS5 titles support this feature, including popular games like Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4.

Cloud Streaming Features

Additionally, hundreds of compatible games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog are available for streaming. Titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök, Hogwarts Legacy, Sword of the Sea, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered can be enjoyed directly from the cloud.

Cloud Streaming introduces new ways to enjoy gaming. You can play alongside a friend using your PS5 under a different account or stream your favourite game while someone else watches a movie on the console. This feature also allows you to play PS5 games while travelling or at any location with high-speed Wi-Fi.

Enhanced User Interface

The home screen has been redesigned with three tabs: Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search. This refreshed interface aims to improve user experience by making navigation more intuitive and streamlined.

New features have been added to enhance Remote Play and Cloud Streaming experiences. These include 3D audio support for immersive sound quality and a passcode lock for added security. A network status screen is also available to monitor connectivity during gameplay.

Additional Features

In-game purchases are now possible during Cloud Streaming sessions. Users can also enable new accessibility options such as screen readers and adjustable text sizes to cater to diverse needs.

Sony's latest update significantly enhances how PlayStation Plus Premium members can interact with their gaming library. With these advancements in Cloud Streaming technology, players have more flexibility in how they enjoy their favourite titles.
