PUBG Witnesses Massive Drop In Active Players In Last 30 Days
PUBG PC version seems to be losing the popularity and its active players. According to the latest report, it has been noticed that the game has lost 82 percent of its players. Here are the details:
According to the latest stats, PUBG PC has 284,039 average numbers of active users in the past 30 days. During January 2018, the game has witnessed 1,584,886 average active players. The difference between both numbers is vast. This means that PUBG Corps has to do something to bring back the player to the game.
There is a possibility that the number drop for PUBG PC could be because of rival game titles like Fortnite and EA's Apex Legends. Both the battle royal games are free-to-play and come with more colorful and graphical representation which might have attracted most of the players.
Moreover, both games receive new updates very frequently. Fortnite has also announced that it has 8.3 million players across the world, and the numbers increased after launching the game in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Tencent also knows that the numbers of active users are going down for them. The company is trying to boost the numbers by releasing new patches and updates very frequently. Recently, the developers of the game released the 5.1 PC update which comes with a revamped map, new weapons, and supplies. Besides, the update also brings vending machines which will dispatch energy drinks and painkillers.
Thoughts On PUBG PC Popularity
It seems that PUBG Corps has to completely dump the existing maps and bring an all-new map for the players. This might attract the games back to the game. With the end of Season 10 Fortnite demolish, the existing maps go into a black hole and come up with all new maps.
This strategy worked for them and a lot of players got attracted to the new update. We think PUBG should also do something similar to gain the momentum back in the game.
