Rainbow Six Mobile Free-to-play Tactical Shooter Now Available for Download on Android and iOS
Players around the world now have full access to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile, a free-to-play tactical shooter available on Android and iOS. The mobile title delivers a compact version of Rainbow Six Siege, designed for play on the move while keeping the franchise's focus on strategy and teamwork.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with support from several co-development studios, Rainbow Six Mobile adapts the well-known siege formula for touch screens. The game features short yet intense matches, where communication and planning remain vital. Long-time Rainbow Six followers and new players can both access the same global release build.

Rainbow Six Mobile Global Launch and Operation Sand Wraith
The worldwide launch also marks the start of the first full season, named Operation Sand Wraith. This opening season arrives one week earlier than planned and introduces a desert-inspired theme. It adds new content for players, including an Operator called Deimos, who changes how duels unfold in matches.
Deimos is designed as a careful and precise hunter, built around a high-pressure duel mechanic. Deimos uses the DeathMARK Tracker ability to single out one opponent. This ability links the two enemies together and creates a one-on-one standoff that continues until one of them is eliminated from the round.
Rainbow Six Mobile Gameplay, Operators, Maps
The core Rainbow Six Mobile experience centres on 5v5 Player-vs-Player matches in the Attack vs. Defense mode. Attackers rely on observation drones to gather information, then breach destructible floors, ceilings and walls. Defenders prepare by placing barricades, traps and cameras to secure key rooms and block enemy entry routes.
Alongside the main siege mode, Rainbow Six Mobile includes several other match types. Available game modes at launch are Bomb, Bomb Rush and Team Deathmatch. Players can choose Quick Play for faster games, enter Ranked matches for competitive sessions, or create Private matches for controlled lobbies with friends or teams.
A roster of more than 20 Operators is available from launch, including Ash, Mute and Dokkaebi. Each Operator brings specific gadgets and roles that support either attack or defence. Maps include familiar Siege locations such as Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon and Villa, plus Restaurant and Summit, which are exclusive to mobile.

Ubisoft says Rainbow Six Mobile is built specifically for phones and tablets, not as a direct port. It combines mobile-friendly systems designed for shorter sessions with core Siege mechanics and a seasonal structure that delivers regular new content.
While retaining the core Rainbow Six Siege experience, the game adapts match length, controls, and UI for mobile. With seasonal updates, multiple modes, a broad Operator roster, and mobile-optimised maps, the global launch and Operation Sand Wraith mark the beginning of a long-term mobile chapter for the franchise.
