Sony State of Play 2026 Set for February 12: How to Watch and What to Expect
Sony is back with another State of Play this week, and this one looks bigger than usual. The company has confirmed that the showcase will run for more than an hour.

The broadcast goes live on February 12 at 3:30 AM IST. Sony hasn’t shared a lineup in advance, so for now, all we really have is timing, length, and a lot of educated guessing.
What Sony is (and Isn’t) Promising
Officially, Sony is keeping things broad. The company says the show will include news, gameplay updates, and announcements from studios around the world. There’s also a clear emphasis on third-party and indie games, along with updates from teams within PlayStation Studios.
State of Play 2026: Expected Games
Some titles just line up naturally with this timing.
Saros is one of them. It’s already locked in for an April 30 release on PS5, which puts it close enough that Sony could comfortably show extended gameplay or talk more about how it actually plays. This feels like a safe bet.
Then there’s Marathon. With a March 5 launch across PS5, PC, and Xbox, Bungie is running out of time to set expectations. A State of Play appearance would be an easy way to clear up questions around final features or any pre-launch play opportunities.
The Question Everyone Asks: Wolverine
Every PlayStation showcase eventually circles back to Marvel’s Wolverine, whether Sony intends it or not.
Insomniac last shared a proper update in September 2025, and the game still sits in a broad fall 2026 window. That makes a full reveal unlikely. But a short update, a teaser, or even a quick reminder that development is moving along wouldn’t feel out of place.
Third-Party Titles May Do the Heavy Lifting
If there’s one area where this State of Play could really stretch its legs, it’s third-party games.
Titles like Crimson Desert, Resident Evil Requiem, and 007 First Light have all been announced, but still feel a bit undefined.
There are also rumours floating around about new announcements from Capcom and Square Enix. Those are harder to pin down, and it’s probably best to treat them as hopeful possibilities.
One rumour that refuses to go away is Starfield making its way to PS5. If that’s happening this year, State of Play would be a sensible place to say it out loud. But until Sony or Bethesda confirms anything, it stays firmly in “wait and see” territory.
