Summer Game Fest 2023: Dates, Events, For PlayStation, Xbox, Livestream Details Revealed

Summer Game Fest has been the definitive source for the biggest gaming announcements and reveals of the season. This year's event promises to be the biggest ever since it started in 2020 primarily because E3 2023 was officially canceled.

Most video game developers and publishers tease their upcoming titles at E3. However, with E3 not happening, publishers have switched tactics and held various reveal-focused live-stream events over the entire season. Let's take a look at all the important details about one of the most important gaming events this year, which is an in-person event.

Summer Game Fest 2023 Dates, Livestream Details Revealed

Summer Game Fest should start on June 8 at 12 PM PDT in the US (June 9 at 12:30 am IST in India). This will be an in-person event and tickets for the event have been available on the event's official website for some time.

The entire schedule revealed up till now is as follows:

• June 8 (12:00 pm PDT / June 9, 12:30 am IST) - Summer Game Fest
• June 8 (2:00 pm PDT / June 9, 2:30 am IST) - Double Fine and iam8bit Day of the Devs
• June 11 (10:00 am PDT / June 11, 10:30 pm IST) - Xbox Games Showcase + Starfield Direct
• June 12 (10:00 am PDT / June 12, 10:30 pm IST) - Ubisoft Showcase

The Summer Game Fest will be live-streamed on YouTube. The event will also be up for streaming on all major platforms including Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok.

The mega event primarily serves as a platform for developers to show upcoming games and trailers. There won't be hands-on gameplay/ demo sessions for consumers. However, there will be a special invite-only preview event for media and influencers to test the games showcased at the event. PlayDays is scheduled to take place after the show.

Summer Game Fest 2023 Official Participants List Revealed

Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley revealed the official list of participants that will be partaking in Summer Game Fest events. As expected, PlayStation and Xbox will be showcasing new and next-generation games at the event.
