Indian Studio Tathvamasi Reveals Suri: The Seventh Note, a Musical Platformer for PS5
India’s gaming scene doesn’t often get the global spotlight, but every now and then a project comes along that makes people stop and pay attention. Suri: The Seventh Note is one of those.
Built by Tathvamasi Studios and supported by PlayStation’s India Hero Project, the game mixes rhythm, platforming, and a story inspired by Indian mythology.

Gameplay That Moves to the Beat
At its core, Suri isn’t just another platformer. Every movement in the game — from jumping to dodging obstacles — happens in sync with the music. The world itself bends to the rhythm, with shifting platforms, flowing lava, and environments that pulse like they’re alive.
If you’ve played games like Celeste or Rayman Legends, you’ll get the idea, but Suri adds a strong cultural layer that makes it stand out.
Rooted in Indian Culture
The setting, called Ragamandala, borrows heavily from Indian folklore. Players will explore regions inspired by the Western Ghats, the Himalayas, and Rajasthan, each with its own look and sound. The soundtrack pulls from Indian folk traditions, so the music isn’t just background noise — it’s what drives the entire experience.
The story puts you in the shoes of a traveler caught in a conflict between six Gandharvas, a king, and a dark force spreading a corrupted rhythm across the land. Your task? Find the mysterious seventh note and restore balance.
Built for PlayStation 5
Since it’s being developed specifically for the PS5, the team is making use of the DualSense controller. That means you’ll feel vibrations that sync with the music, adding another layer of immersion. PlayStation’s India Hero Project has backed the game with funding and guidance, giving the developers resources to push their vision further.
No Release Date Yet
Right now, there’s no confirmed release date for Suri: The Seventh Note. It’s still in development and is only confirmed for the PS5. But with its unique mix of rhythm, culture, and platforming, it’s shaping up to be a title worth following — especially if you’re curious about how Indian mythology can be reimagined through gaming.
